Centrally located between Victoria and Nanaimo, we are minutes from the hospital, Queen Margaret’s School, Berkey’s Corner, downtown, Averill Creek Winery, and downtown Duncan. We are situated near Mount Prevost which has some of the best biking and hiking trails on the island. This newly renovated property has a covered patio area which overlooks the the yard and mature fruit trees.
The ocean, lakes and rivers are all within a 15 minute drive of the cottage. If water is not your thing, perhaps you would enjoy the many hiking or biking trails on My Prevost or Mt Tzouhalem. Stoney Hill out in Genoa Bay is one of our personal favourites with its stunning views. There are many 4+ star rated golf courses only a short drive away. We are surrounded by BC's finest wineries, markets, live entertainment, shopping and a vast array of restaurants for every taste and budget. Whether you are here for an event or to explore our beautiful valley, we have it all!
The cottage includes a full bathroom with a hair dryer, fluffy towels and all the toiletries you might need for a short-term stay, or to get you started for a long-term stay. There is a two-piece bathroom off the master bedroom as well. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, dishwasher,microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, walk-in pantry and table with seating for 2.
The large main bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a smart television so you can log in to your streaming accounts, and looks out over the quiet backyard. The second bedroom has a comfortable double size bed with an amazing view of Mt Prevost. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be pushed together to make a king if requested and also overlooks Mt Prevost. All bedrooms have large closets and plenty of storage.
The living room boasts a comfy, stylish sofa, love seat and armchair, coffee table, end tables, and a 50” smart tv. The bookcase is stocked with novels and books on local hiking trails. The dining room has a table with 4 chairs and a sideboard equipped with stationary items and games.
The laundry room has a full sized washer, dryer and sink and is incredibly spacious. The south-facing covered patio has an outdoor couch, coffee table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail while looking out over the backyard and fruit trees.
When you arrive you will be greeted with a bottle of local wine, fresh baked muffins, and fruit.
